Steve Kaufman, the world's only 3-time National Flatpicking Champion, returns to Blue Ridge Music once again in 2008. This time he is conducting two workshops.
Mandolin Workshop -- Thursday, January 10 from 7pm to 10pm
Steve will conduct a special mandolin workshop in our store. We are thrilled to be adding this new workshop to the lineup this year. The cost is $40 per student. There's a limited number of spots available so register early!
Guitar Workshop -- Friday, January 11 (7pm-9:30pm) and January 12 (9am to 4pm)
We are extremely happy to have Steve back once again to lead his award-winning 8-hour hands-on guitar workshop in our store. The cost is $80 per student and will consist of a Friday evening session and a Saturday morning & afternoon session.
Steve advises all students, "Bring a tape recorder, a guitar or mandolin and lots of questions."
Concert Saturday Evening -- Saturday, January 12 at 7pm
Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets available at the door!
Steve will perform in concert that evening at the Ferguson Auditorium in the Laurel Building at A-B Tech, Asheville campus (map). Tickets are available for purchase to the general public, and we ask that everyone bring a friend out. The cost is $10 per person ($3.50 for children under 12) . It's always a real treat to put this concert on for all of the great music-loving people of our area. |
