Calico The crisp, bright tones and delicate beauty of the Calico bring out the real fun of playing a banjo. It has a beautiful Honey stained curly maple neck and resonator with purfling and ivoroid binding. Mother-of-pearl scroll inlays adorn the ebony fingerboard. The neck has a two-way adjustable truss-rod, as do all Deering banjos. Bound in white, the peghead has an elegantly finished look. the slender neck shape is fast and easy to play. Golden Wreath The Deering Banjo company is introducing a new "classic" banjo called the "Golden Wreath." The new banjo is a reproduction of the classic banjos made in the 1930's. It features a mahogany neck and resonator, a 20-hole tone ring, an ebony fingerboard with the traditional wreath pattern inlaid in mother of pearl in both the fingerboard and the peghead. The three-ply rock maple rim is fitted with a traditional one piece, cast zinc gflange and the resonator has two purfling rings inlaid on the back surface. Boston & Sierra Deering's Sierra and Boston family of banjos is for the player who wants excellent sound and playability without the frills and at an affordable price. Boston rings out loud and clear. The thick steel rim which is unique to the Deering line produces a sound similar to a bronze tone-ring and enables you to get a much more affordable banjo. One way to experience the excellent quality of the Boston banjo is to close your eyes and compare the sound to other banjos in the same price range. The Boston provides exceptional tone which is far superior to the tone of the die-cast brass tone-rings or aluminum rims of the imports. Playing is always more fun when you enjoy the sound of your banjo. Vega Vega is the classic open-back banjo design. With its solid maple neck, ebony fretboard and standard 11" banjo head, this little banjo really packs an unexpected punch. The Vega #2 sports a hand-fitted tubaphone tome ring and a three-ply rock maple pot. The Vega Little Wonder is equipped with a three-ply rock maple rim and guitar-style tuners. Goodtime The Goodtime banjo was a dream of Greg Deering's to produce a great sounding, easy to play and easy to maintain banjo that everyone could afford. The Goodtime banjo is made in America, within the Deering factory and is designed to produce the finest tone and playability possible for the lowest possible price. It features a rock maple neck, with the frets fitted into the neck the same way many of the classic (now collector's item) electric guitars in the '60's were made and are still made today. The Goodtime banjo is played by top professionals, travelers, beginners and everyone who wants a high quality banjo for a low price. Goodtime 2 The Goodtime 2 is a "souped up version of the original Goodtime banjo.  It has the same great features as the Goodtime, but has a resonator. The Goodtime 2 pot (or main body) assembly has a multi-ply rock maple and birch rim. The rim is laminated in the same style as the classic banjos of the 1920's and produces a sweet, clear tone that has been compared to banjos costing three times the price. The 16 brackets are held by traditional bracket shoes. The nickel plated two piece resonator flange is mounted underneath the bracket shoes and adds tone enhancing weight and a finishing touch to the appearance of the resonator/pot assembly. The maple resonator is attached to the pot by small screws through the resonator flange. This makes access to head adjustments simple and easy.  Gold Tone BG-250F Quality sound at a great price make the BG-250F a "Bluegrass Special." This banjo includes our lifetime warranty. The BG-250F has a flange and a larger resonator for piercing tone in bluegrass music. Features include bell brass tone-ring, maple neck, maple rim, shoe style lugs, planetary tuners, Straight Line tailpiece, two way adjustable truss rod, and a beautiful brown vintage finish. Mother of pearl headstock inlay and snowflake fingerboard inlay are combined with a mahogany resonator. Gold Tone Banjola This is quite a different type of banjo than the norm. With a standard 5-string banjo neck and the body of a mandolin (or mandola), the Banjola is a beautiful instrument with exquisite tone and sustain that you won't find in a standard 5-string banjo.  Gold Tone MC-150 Economically priced, the MC-150 has all quality parts which provide excellent tone. This model is convertible which means the resonator may be easily detached for open back playing style. Recently, the MC-150 received a rave review from a popular folk magazine in England which explained its incredible tone for the price.
